Tuesday Moderate Ride – October 12th – 9:00 AM – Panera
This week the Tuesday Moderate Ride will swing by Didier Farms in Buffalo Grove for some pumpkin donuts before continuing on to Long Grove for pizza at Joanie’s Pizza. Our total distance will be about 48 miles. I will ride at a moderate 13 to 15 mph. If there is enough interest a second group will be led by Will at a slightly faster pace. Of necessity this route requires travel on my least favorite stretch of road in northern Illinois – Aptakisic Road. It is exposed to every possible wind, boring, ugly, heavily traveled, noisy, and smelly. And now there is road construction as well. It is, however, a tiny portion of the entire route. The rest is mostly pleasant. We’ll just grit our teeth on Aptakisic Road.
At the moment the weather forecast for Tuesday is promising –Cloudy with a high near 70 degrees with the wind out of the WSW at 10 to 20 mph.
