Tuesday Moderate Ride – April 7th – 10:00 AM – Panera
This week marks the resumption of the regularly scheduled Tuesday rides. The change from the off season to the scheduled rides is subtle. The only significant change is that now rather than waiting to see if a ride is posted, you should instead expect a ride every Tuesday leaving from Panera at 9:00 AM unless you hear otherwise. This week you are hearing otherwise.
I am planning to ride, but I am going to push the starting time back to 10:00 AM. The temperature should have climbed to freezing (32 degrees) by that point. It won’t be getting a lot warmer. The predicted high for the day is 36 degrees. The wind will be out of the ENE at 5 to 10 mph, and it will be partly cloudy.
I’m planning to ride to Greek Feast. Here is a link to the route that I’ll be using: Greek Feast from Panera -- winter route --36 miles · Ride with GPS. Our total distance will be about 36 miles. I will ride at a moderate (13 – 15 mph) pace.
If the actual weather should be even worse than the forecast, making it prudent to cancel the ride, I will post an announcement to the listserv by 8:30 AM,
