Tuesday Moderate Ride September 18th - 9:00 AM - Panera
This week I’m planning a relatively direct route to Northcroft Park in Lake Forest. After a comfort stop there we will ride the 12 mile loop that is added onto the NSC 50 mile route to make a metric century. After completing the loop rather than continuing with the NSC route we will ride to the Panera in Bannockburn for lunch. Following lunch we will take a relatively direct route back to Wilmette. Our total distance should be about 45 miles.
I’ll ride at a moderate 13 - 15 mph. We’ll almost certainly have a second group riding at a slightly faster pace.
Tomorrow’s forecast has changed as I wrote this message from partly cloudy with a chance of rain to scattered morning thunderstorms. The chance of rain is only 40% however. Think dry thoughts. If it is necessary to cancel the ride because of the weather I’ll post a notice to the listserve by 7:30 AM.
