The Lake County Division of Transportation is going to hold its third and final public meeting about an east/west bike path, the Patriot Path, along the IL Route 137 corridor. The meeting will be an open house at which, among other things, the preferred alignment of the proposed path will be available for viewing. If this meeting follows the typical format, there will be an opportunity to discuss concerns with the planners and to leave comments.
The limits of the project are between the Des Plaines River Trail (Independence Grove Forest Preserve) and the Robert McClory Bike Path (Sheridan Road). The proposed Patriot Path would connect Libertyville, Green Oaks, Waukegan and North Chicago and provide a non-motorized alternative transportation option.
The hearing will take place on Oct 3 between 5 pm and 7 pm. You may come at any time during those hours.
