Designed by Louis Sullivan with assistance from his junior draftsman, Frank Lloyd Wright, the Charnley-Persky House (1891-1892) is recognized as a pivotal work of modern American architecture.
This National Historic Landmark building serves as the headquarters of the Society of Architectural Historians.

The weather (as of Monday) looks to be in the 40-50s with a light wind from the southwest, and given this wind direction my choice is to go south, with a tail wind on the return.   anyway....
We'll assemble at Chandler and use the bathrooms at the Am Legion Post since Chandler is undergoing some renovations.
Route will be down to the city on the Lake Front Path with the food stop at the Cafe in the Chicago History Museum. Time ;permitting we'll view the Block Alley behind the Cardinal's mansion       .The free docent lead tour begins at Noon and lasts around 45 minutes so I expect to be back in Evanston by 2PM.
