Tuesday Moderate Ride – March 3rd – 9:00 AM – Panera
Tomorrow looks like a good day for a bike ride. The temperature will be in the 40s during most of the ride. There is almost no chance of cold, wet stuff falling from the sky. The wind will be from the WSW at 15 – 25 mph.
I’m planning to ride to Omega restaurant in Niles by way of Norwood Park. This is a meandering route through parts of the city and suburbs. Most of the second half of the ride should be with the wind at our back. Our total distance will be about 28 miles. My pace will be a moderate 13 to 15 mph. With the stop and go riding and questionable pavement in the city, portions of the ride might be a tad slower. You can find the route that I’ll be using at: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/31549104.
If the weather should be vastly different than predicted making it necessary to cancel the ride, I will post an announcement to the listserv before 8 am.
