EBC Cyclists:
On Thursday 12-21-17 (Winter Solstice day) we will ride to Manny's Deli at 11th & Jefferson in Chicago. Manny's Deli is a long time club favorite.destination and outstanding eating location, and it deserves a visit to see their recent renovations. The ride will be from Panera in Wilmette, starting at or about 9:10am (not a parking holiday), will go to Manny's via the canal trail and lake front path, and will return to Panera via Elston Ave/California Ave/canal trail. The gross distance will be about 36.7253 miles (my best guess at this point). Expect urban riding at its finest, and be sure to bring a lock, a health care identification card and bail money We will pass by numerous points of interest. Anticipate temperatures in the mid 30s with mostly cloudy skies and moderate winds from the south. There is a very minimal chance of precipitation All reststops and restrooms will be heated. The ride will be at a 'classic fast' pace (15 to 17 mph equivalent effort). See you at Panera Thursday morning. Don't miss it!
