Budlong Woods Branch Library, 5630 North Lincoln AvenueWhen: Monday June 23, 2025, 6 to 7:30 pm Join Rogers Park/West Ridge Historical Society for an evening with Luann Hamilton, Active Transportation Alliance Board President, as she covers the history of our streets in Chicago over time. Ms. Hamilton will take us on this journey in transportation from shared use in the early part of the 20th century to auto-oriented use and highlight the current ongoing transformation to a Safe Streets for All policy (e.g., protected bike lanes, greenways with contra-flow bike lanes on 1/4 mile streets, bump outs and pedestrian refuge islands on arterials).
