For a couple of months I’ve been going on rides with a 75 year old man who is experiencing some dementia. He is a capable rider, but struggles with navigating. His wife had posted a request on NextDoor that I responded to and we’ve been riding once a week since. Unfortunately I am not able to continue riding with him because of my upcoming shoulder surgery.
He lives in northwest Evanston, not far from centennial park. I think he might do well on moderate or casual rides, but would mainly need someone to help him get to and from the rides safely (so he doesn’t get lost).
