CBG Closed Thru 4/30
Author Last Post
I just got this as a CBG Volunteer --

The Garden is closed  through April 30

Your safety is our top priority as we respond to the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Following the recommendations of federal, state, and county officials, the Chicago Botanic Garden is closed effective at 5 p.m. March 17 through April 30. This closure includes all gardens, grounds, and buildings, including the Visitor Center. All programs, classes, and events scheduled through April 30 are canceled.

We came to this decision in response to new federal directives on the coronavirus (COVID-19) health crisis. We do not feel confident that we can adequately limit gatherings to 10 or fewer people, as recommended. The health and safety of our community of visitors, staff, and volunteers—as well as our community at large—remains our top priority.

We apologize that we are not able to offer the Garden as a respite during these challenging times. We will continue the care of our treasured 385-acre living museum, 2.6 million plants in our permanent collection, and production greenhouse operations.

Stay well; we look forward to the day that we welcome you back to the Garden. In the interim, please stay in touch with us through social media and our website, where we will do our best to bring the Garden to you and share any updates.
