A project to provide 4.5 miles of new multi-use trail is back on track -- more than a decade after the idea of extending the Skokie Valley Trail from Lake Bluff through Northfield, Wilmette, Glenview and Skokie was first proposed. The path would run along the discontinued Union Pacific railroad corridor, ComEd right of way and municipal right of way.
A public open house regarding this segment -- which would connect to 10 miles of existing Skokie Valley Trail -- is scheduled from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, at Glenview Village Hall, 2500 East Lake Avenue.
